When a vehicle is stopped, stock intercooler core keeps heat inside from the engine compartment and then, when the car starts, sometimes knocking occurs and engine is damaged. Front mount intercooler decreases intake air temperature (20 deg. C less than stock intercooler) and it enables safe and reliable tuning.
