The factory in-tank regulator relieves into internal passages that lead to a pair of venturis. When removing the in-tank regulator, you will require this product in order to continue feeding your return fuel into these venturis. One of these venturis creates a swirl function which reduces aeration and promotes canister refilling. The other venturi is a jet-pump used to draw fuel over the center of your saddle-type gas tank (over the driveshaft). Without this product in your fuel system build, your vehicle will run out of fuel while the gauge is somewhere just below half tank.
